About
Learning Is Fun Preschool offers small class sizes with a maximum of ten children, with a teacher–student ratio of 1:10 and a 1:5 ratio for many activities. Classrooms are described as spacious and bright, with plenty of additional space for preschool activities and up-to-date, well maintained equipment and materials that are changed frequently to expand children’s learning and inspire their interest. The program includes enrichment programs for all students at no additional cost, extended hours, extended enrichment class options, and extra staff.
• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday, 8:45 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Learning Is Fun Preschool has been serving the community since 1974 and describes its education as extraordinary. The staff is described as experienced and dedicated, and as specialists in preschool education and development. The program states that parents and family are the greatest influence in a child’s life and that the staff wants to work in partnership with families to teach, mold, encourage, and love the children in their care. Learning Is Fun Preschool is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, follows the Illinois Early Learning Standards established by the Illinois State Board of Education, Division of Early Childhood Education, and is chartered by the federal government as a not-for-profit educational center.
Parents describe the atmosphere as positive and note the small class sizes that allow for individual attention. One parent reports being impressed with the academics and personalized approach. Another parent notes that the teacher is readily available for questions and responds in a timely manner, and another shares that their child looks forward to school every day.
