Hi-Five Summer Sports Camp was founded in 1990 in Northfield, Illinois, and marked its 30th anniversary in 2020. The camp includes the “Hi-Five Sports Camp 4 Girls Division” for girls in K–7th grade from June 9th through August 8th, which features all of the regular Hi-Five activities plus Gymnastics, Cheer, Art, and more. The program states that campers are placed on a college team based on age before camp starts, and that a coach calls to introduce themselves prior to camp. The camp notes that its coaching staff is experienced, patient, and passionate about sports and coaching each camper, and that its camps and programs are led by experienced professionals who enjoy working with kids. Hi-Five reports that its personal growth principles include teamwork, respect, leadership, sportsmanship, friendship, loyalty, and family, and that its vision is to help the next generation develop a passion for sports, with an emphasis on teamwork, playing hard and fair, making new buddies, and enjoying camaraderie. The camp describes its programs as high-energy, encouraging, challenging, safe, instructional, and fun, with innovative programs and custom-built facilities that focus on building confidence and inspiring personal growth, and it states that it emphasizes inclusive training, games, teamwork, and entertainment that create lifelong memories in a safe, well-equipped, and positive environment. The camp also states that it uses affirmative coaching, player encouragement, and a sense of humor, encourages a break from technology and social media, and focuses on team sports, athletics, and physical activity as ways for children to learn to live healthier lives, build self-confidence, and learn the value of hard work, playing as a team, and handling winning and losing. The program notes that its unique SPORT ZONES are designed for children from preschool to 8th grade, and that from field sizes to hoop heights to its mascot, Hi-Five Murphy, its approach to sports and entertainment aims to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time. Hi-Five describes its camps as eight-week sports extravaganzas that are the highlight of kids’ summers, welcomes campers of all abilities, and immerses them in multiple sports, games, and healthy activities. The camp has been named “The Nation’s #1 Youth Sports Entertainment Franchise.” The Camp Director and Managing Partner is Danny Tuchman. The program states that the Hi-Five Sports Camp experience is remembered for the high energy level of its coaches and the positive impact on campers’ lives, and that it has a staff that handles communication and can be contacted at any time.

The camp notes that all campers have a designated drop-off and pick-up spot, that younger campers take numerous bathroom breaks, and that all campers are reminded to reapply sunscreen during lunch and later in the afternoon, with water, sunscreen, and shade breaks announced throughout the day. On extremely hot days, the program reports that it uses indoor grounds such as an auditorium, student center, and gymnasium, and may send some groups to other indoor air-conditioned venues like the Hi-Five Sports Zone in Northbrook Court Mall. On special days, Kona Ice visits camp so campers can receive a treat, and those using buses gather with fellow campers and coaches and depart first. The camp also states that it offers after-camp care if needed.
