About

Camp Hope is a five-day recreational and residential overnight camp for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities, ages 15 to 30. Campers stay on-site from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon and are paired with a student Buddy. The 2026 sessions are Session 1, July 19 to July 24, and Session 2, July 26 to July 31.

About the provider

Camp Hope has served for 21 years. It is founded on four pillars of service: campers, campers families, buddies, and community. The program encourages community involvement from community groups and organizations through meals, shared talents, services, or volunteering during a camp session.

Accepts around 24 campers per session. Limited capacity; application does not guarantee a spot. Eligibility requires residing in the family home throughout the year, having a medically diagnosed developmental disability, and up-to-date immunizations per Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines. Applications were notified by March 15, 2026; accepted applicants had a May 30, 2026 deadline for physician statement and immunization records. The 2026 application is closed.
