That's Entertainment Performing Arts is led by co-owners Kristine and Carrie and is celebrating 11 years. The program describes itself as a professional training ground in all areas of the arts, with a focus on proper technique and on helping students grow as all-around performers and “triple threats.” It offers a full performing arts training experience, with students receiving a real-world approach to class and rehearsals and all dance and theatre pieces telling a story. The program states that it is an all-encompassing professional training ground for the past, present, and future of the arts, and that it is committed to finding the perfect class or instructor for each student, including a free trial class. Instruction is offered in dance, voice, acting, musical theatre, and audition coaching, and the program also offers private lessons and summer programs.

According to the program, all instructors come from strong performance backgrounds and are highly experienced and trained teachers who value being lifelong students of the arts. The mission statement says the program strives to create well-rounded, confident, and skilled performers in a fun and positive environment, and to create a safe environment for students to explore, create, connect, interact, and find themselves through the arts. The program notes that it serves families from Palatine, Arlington Heights, Lake Zurich, Prospect Heights, Des Plaines, Rolling Meadows, Long Grove, Buffalo Grove, Hoffman Estates, Barrington, Inverness, and Deer Park.

One parent, Karen, shares that her daughter has “really blossomed as a dancer” and describes the studio as an “inclusive and family-oriented environment” and a “safe space that feels like home.” Another parent, Frannie, describes TEPA as “an outstanding studio for dance, theater, music and teams,” calls it “the complete package,” and says her daughters have built lasting friendships and relationships with peers and instructors while growing as performers and learning the importance of teamwork.
