Petersburg Athletic Association Youth Sports Programs organizes and manages youth sports, including T-Ball, softball, baseball, soccer, and basketball. The program also offered a camp free of charge to Petersburg Athletic Association players last year. These activities are part of the association’s youth sports offerings.

The mission of Petersburg Athletic Association Youth Sports Programs is to help develop young boys and girls in the community to be successful on and off the field of play. Registration fees are used for shirts and hats, equipment such as helmets, bats, balls, tees, bases, basketballs, and soccer balls, repairs and maintenance including dirt for fields, flour or paint to line the fields, gas and oil changes for the 4-wheeler used to drag fields, paint, fence repair, lights, and toilet paper, as well as awards, league and tournament fees, scoreboards, and a boys pitching machine. The leadership team includes Jerry Nunn for basketball and softball (309-613-0895); Jared Canterbury (217-971-3788) and Brett Leischner (217-652-3927) for baseball and T-Ball; and Ashley Hofman for soccer (618-520-8341). The program notes appreciation for support from the community, local businesses, and civic organizations.
