Petersburg Athletic Association Youth Sports offers recreational T-Ball, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball programs. The program organizes and manages these sports for youth through the Petersburg Athletic Association.
• Price: Registration fees are used for shirts and hats, equipment such as helmets, bats, balls, tees, bases, basketballs, and soccer balls, repairs and maintenance for fields and facilities, awards, league and tournament fees, scoreboards, and a boys pitching machine.
The Petersburg Athletic Association Youth Sports program is led by Jerry Nunn for basketball and softball, Jared Canterbury and Brett Leischner for baseball and T-Ball, and Ashley Hofman for soccer. According to its mission statement, the program focuses on encouraging perseverance and growth, building teamwork and leadership skills, and instilling character traits such as Honor, Integrity, Loyalty, Respect, and Courage. The organization notes that its programs are supported by families, volunteers, local businesses, and civic partners, and that a camp was offered free of charge to PAA players last year. The registration fee has not been raised in many years.
