PORTA Pool Swim Lessons offers swim lessons along with lap swim, water aerobics, open swim, private rental for pool parties, and the PORTA Girls' Coop Swim Team. Children ages 2 years and up are grouped according to age and ability with a small teacher/swimmer ratio. Swimmers may attend between 1 and 3 times per week, and pre-registration is required by calling Rachel Frost at PORTA Pool at 217-632-4745.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer swimming lessons run June 1 through July 24, with morning and evening options on select weekdays; lap swim, water aerobics, and open swim are offered August 12 through May 30 on specific days and times.
• Price: Pool Fees Adults: $4.25 Students: $3.50 Children 3 and under are free
There will be a parent/swimmer meeting at PORTA Pool on Sunday, July 27, at 6:15 PM. Private rental for pool parties is available by contacting Rachel Frost at 217-632-4745. The program is connected with PORTA CUSD #202 Swimming Pool and lists leadership contacts including Rachel Frost for PORTA Pool and the PORTA Girls' Coop Swim Team, and Shannon Duling and Grace Ortega as Title IX Complaint Managers. The district mission statement is, “Together, we learn, create, achieve and pursue success.”
