YMCA Summer Day Camp is generously sponsored by CN. As part of the YMCA’s partnership with the State of Illinois Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), the Y is required to keep up-to-date immunization records or documented exemptions on file for all children receiving CCAP funding in the Summer Camp program, and an immunization record must be submitted at registration for those children. DHS funds are accepted, and financial assistance is available for those who qualify. The program is currently on a waitlist at both listed camp locations.

The Greater Joliet Area YMCA has been serving families from Will County, Grundy County, and surrounding areas since 1926 and is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026. The Greater Joliet Area YMCA is a nonprofit charitable organization with a mission “to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.” The leadership team for YMCA Summer Day Camp includes James Wagner, Youth and Family Director, who shared, “I'm so excited to see all the campers arrive each day and it is truly inspiring to see each child's growth over the course of a summer. The Y is an amazing place to help kids thrive,” – James.
