YMCA Summer Day Camp offers swimming, sports, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and field trips as part of its daily activities. Campers can take part in these activities for up to ten weeks of summer fun. The program also offers additional camp opportunities, including Sports Camps, Preschool Camps, Specialty Camps, Counselors-in-Training, Summer Camp Swim Lessons, and a Camp Volunteer Program.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: 2026 Day Camp hours are 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday–Friday, with up to ten weeks of summer programming
• Price: 2025 Weekly Rates: Facility Members $235 per child; Community Members $260 per child; plus a $50 non-refundable registration fee per family
YMCA Summer Day Camp is open to children in grades K–8, and the Y also offers a Half-Day Preschool Camp for children ages 3–6. The program holds a Virtual Summer Camp Q&A session with the camp team and counselors, and pre-registration is required for the Summer Camp Kick-Off. Notice of cancellation or change of enrollment must be submitted by the Monday seven days prior to the next week of care, and scholarship opportunities are available. YMCA Summer Day Camp is generously sponsored by CN, DHS funds are accepted, and financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
The Greater Joliet Area YMCA has been serving families from throughout Will County and its surrounding areas since 1926. The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The leadership team includes James Wagner, Youth and Family Director and Camp Director.
