The Plainfield Soccer Association Recreation Program includes a Recreation Program and Recreation League with lesson plans for U5–U8, U10, and U12–U14 players. Program offerings also include Spring 2026 Game Schedules, Fall 26 Recreation Registration, 2022 Summer Camps, PSA Clinics, and the Little Grasshoppers - Spring Program with a separate Little Grasshoppers - Spring Program Registration. The Plainfield Soccer Association traces its roots back to 1982 and was founded by two Plainfield residents seeking to organize a soccer program for their children. The first session was organized with 78 players divided into six teams, and by the following spring PSA participants totaled 250 players. In 1985, a winter session was added with teams playing at a Plainfield area junior high school, and as teams became more competitive, travel teams were formed. In 1986, a travel team of U8 players entered a fall tournament and played. PSA’s recreational program now totals more than 3,000 players, and the travel program is branded Plainfield United Soccer Club. A group of volunteers has provided organizational skills, coaching, and referees, and the leadership team includes Kathy Ayres, Administrator for PSA and Plainfield United. Plainfield United SC uses USSF qualified coaches.
