About

Five Star Tennis Junior Programs offers tennis for kids and teens through junior development, junior competition, and high performance programs. The program includes private lessons, instructional classes with refined lesson plans geared to the level of the player, and a well-defined pathway from beginner Red Ball, Orange Ball, and Green Dot classes through the High-Performance program. Junior players also have access to dynamic and engaging practice plans, exciting and innovative events, and leagues such as WIKADUKE, USTA leagues, USTA tournaments, and UTR tournaments.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Spring Session Dates: February 23 – May 31

Five Star Tennis Junior Programs is part of a broader tennis and golf offering that also includes an adult tennis program, adult drills, the Tennis University program for adults, a fitness room, a golf simulator, and Buddy Up Tennis. As a USTA-recognized facility, the programs adhere to USTA and PTR guidelines. Players are allowed a maximum of three junior makeups per class per session, with makeup days scheduled on days off school (not on weekends) and a makeup schedule that accommodates multiple school districts.

The founding principle of Five Star Tennis is that every player deserves a great deal of attention, regardless of their skill level. The program states that it takes pride in fostering a family-oriented and inclusive atmosphere for players of all ages and skill levels, and the Five Star Tennis Center is described as a second home for many tennis players and their families, often referred to as the Five Star Family. Leadership is provided by Dan Brown and Robin Henders.

Five Star Tennis has received several recognitions, including the 2018 USTA National “Outstanding Facility” award, the 2018 USTA Midwest “Organization of the Year” award, and “Private Facility of the Year” in the Tennis Industry Association Magazine’s “Champions of Tennis 2017” issue. Testimonials from Dan Brown and Robin Henders describe a focus on creating a Five Star Family and making the Five Star Tennis Center a second home for tennis players and their families.
