Plainfield Junior Cats Football and Cheer offers youth tackle football and cheer, along with Football Boot Camp that focuses on drills, conditioning, and football fundamentals. The program includes both competitive and developmental youth tackle football and cheer activities.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Football Boot Camp on July 26th, 2023, from 6:00pm CDT to 8:00pm CDT
• Price: Football: $350; Sideline Cheer: $150.00; Dynamites (5–6 years old): $200
The Plainfield Junior Cats (PJC) is a community-based, non-profit youth football and cheer organization serving families in Plainfield and the surrounding areas. It is a feeder program to local high schools and offers opportunities for children ages 5–13. The organization is the Plainfield Park District’s only affiliated football program and is powered by volunteer board members, coaches, parents, and community supporters. All funds raised are reinvested directly into the program to support player and cheerleader safety equipment, field usage and league participation, training resources and operational needs, and keeping participation costs lower than comparable programs. During equipment handout, participants must bring a $100 check, which is deposited and refunded once volunteer hours are fulfilled. Fall 2026 Football and Cheer will participate in I8YTFL. 2026 marks the 54th year of Plainfield Junior Cats Tackle Football and Cheer, which was founded in 1972.
