Quincy Community Theatre’s mission is to offer and perpetuate quality theatre entertainment and education through community participation. The education program is open to students of all ages, and no prior theatre experience is required unless specified in the class description. Quincy Community Theatre employs a full-time, professional staff for its education program, and Triple Threat Boot Camp focuses on singing, acting, and dancing and includes an open class for family and friends. QCT offers three different scholarships to support theatre education opportunities, can provide theatre workshops at classrooms or organizations, and offers tours of its facility. QCT Improv Club is a free, casual, low-stakes, drop-in monthly improv class for adults 18 and up, with no experience, materials, or registration necessary.

Quincy Community Theatre has been delighting audiences since 1923, with The Little Theatre formally organized in 1928 and productions resuming in 1953 as an outdoor summer theatre. The theatre found its first permanent home in 1964, hired its first full-time managing director in 1973, and moved into a new Civic Center/Theatre complex completed in 1995, with the 498-seat theatre dedicated on September 8, 1995. The leadership team for Triple Threat Boot Camp includes Camp Director & Acting Instructor Mindy Holthaus, Vocal Director Megan Masterman, and Choreographer Ben Dombroski. As a nonprofit theatre, Quincy Community Theatre is accountable to the community it serves, offers productions, outreach, and classes, and states that it aspires to cultivate a community where creativity thrives, audiences are engaged, and the transformative power of the performing arts is celebrated and accessible to all.
