Quincy Park District Youth Programs include activities such as baseball and softball, basketball, soccer, futsal, sand volleyball, pickleball, golf, aerobics classes, outdoor fitness boot camps, swimming lessons, tennis lessons, nature programs, special events, trips, and mommy/daddy date nights. The programs also use facilities that include an outdoor swimming pool with a waterslide, an indoor playground in the administrative building, batting cages, miniature golf, paddleboats, kayaks, multipurpose courts, and various sports fields and courts.
• Schedule: Administrative Office hours are Monday–Friday from 9:00 am–4:30 pm, with Park Ranger phone coverage at various times throughout the week, and batting cage summer hours Monday–Saturday 10:00 am–10:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm–10:00 pm.
Quincy Park District Youth Programs are part of an organization established in 1941. The mission of the Quincy Park District is to enhance the recreational, cultural, historical and environmental qualities of life for all its residents through a well-planned, developed, maintained and accessible system of public parks, facilities, and programs. The leadership team includes an Executive Director, directors for marketing operations, business services, program services, and parks, as well as a Director of Golf, an Assistant Director of Golf, recreation program managers, supervisors, and additional named staff positions. The District is affiliated with the National Recreation and Park Association, the Illinois Association of Park Districts, the Illinois Park and Recreation Association, the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce, the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association, and the Government Finance Officers Association. Quincy Park District states that it prohibits discrimination in all of its programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital or family status.
