Owner and dance instructor Debbie Wiess attended high school as a dance major at The Chicago Academy for the Arts, trained for a time in New York City before returning to Chicago, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Columbia University of Chicago, and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Roosevelt University while dancing professionally in downtown Chicago. The stated goal of LUX Dance Studio is to make dancing fun, educational, and exhilarating.
