BAMtheatre offers theatre programs that include live theatre shows, musical theatre training and education, and theatre education programming. The program also offers after-school enrichment programs, residency programs, and other arts-based activities for young performers throughout the year.

BAMtheatre was founded in 2001. It is described as an award winning and nationally recognized educational theatre program in the Western Suburbs of Chicago that offers theatre programs throughout the full year, including extensive summer programs and Conservatory programs that meet throughout the school year. The program offers shows all year round and provides professional musical theatre training and education from preschool through college, serving well over 2,500 actors annually.
BAMtheatre describes its programming as guided by the principles of Inclusion, Education, Community, and Innovation, and states that it stands by four pillars: focus, energy, enthusiasm, and joy. The organization defines itself as an educational theatre organization committed to uplifting and welcoming all identities and to being an artistic space that welcomes all people and identities.
BAMtheatre offers unique after-school enrichment and residency programs at schools in the Chicagoland area and seeks to connect with the Hinsdale community, the greater Chicago community, and the theatre community at large through arts-based activities. Its mission statement says that it aims to empower young artists through theatre education by cultivating upstanding, creative, and inspired young artists who work to make the world a better place, and that it aims to have every student discover personal growth in every BAM encounter.
Natalie Weiss, described as an acclaimed vocalist and Off-Broadway Actress, has worked with BAMtheatre students. She states, “The talent that the BAMtheatre kids' possess at such a young age is truly astonishing. All of them were able to take all of my feedback and apply it immediately to their pieces. I look forward to working with them in the future.”
