Arrowhead Golf Club, where these programs take place, has a meticulously manicured 27-hole course and is described as a public golf club with an exclusive golf club feel. The original 18-hole Antlers Club was built in the 1920s with horse-drawn plows, and in 1929 the club was renamed Arrowhead Golf Club. The West Course was constructed in 1967, bringing the number of holes to 27, the learning center opened in 1990, and the West Course was completed in 2001, with the property purchased by the Wheaton Park District in 1982. Course renovation was directed by Ken Killian, co-designer of Kemper Lakes Golf Club, and some ponds on the course, when viewed from the air, resembled a pair of antlers.

Arrowhead is rated as one of America's 25 best all-around golf experiences, has been voted one of the Best Driving Ranges in Chicago by Chicago Golf Report, and has been featured in Chicago District Golfer's “Chicago's Best 19 Holes.” Arrowhead Golf Club received recertification as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and achieved designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, recognizing environmental quality in Environmental Planning, Wildlife & Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical Use Reduction and Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management.

Testimonials describe Arrowhead as one of the top golf driving ranges and practice facilities in the Chicagoland area and note that public golfers will find it a captivating, challenging, thoughtful design. Other testimonials state that the 27-hole layout is nicely maintained and that the course has the feel of a private course that is well maintained, with a layout that is well spaced and a nice challenge.
