About
Beyond the Stars Performing Arts Academy offers dance classes, voice lessons, acting classes, and performances throughout the year. The program also includes a choreography camp, a company late-in party, a company holiday party, and an end of the year awards banquet. Beyond The Stars Competitive Dance Company is a selected group of dancers chosen through an annual audition process, and company dancers represent the academy in many performances throughout the year.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Six-week summer session from June 16 to July 24, with additional activities and events scheduled throughout the year
• Price: $30 application/audition fee
Office hours from September through May are Monday 4:30 pm–7:30 pm, Tuesday 4:30 pm–9:30 pm, Wednesday 4:30 pm–8:30 pm, and Thursday 4:30 pm–9:30 pm. Company auditions are scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 pm for 3rd to 6th grade and 8:00–9:30 pm for 7th grade and up, and families are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early to fill out the application and prepare for class. Summer requirements include a six-week session from June 16 to July 24 and a choreography camp from August 11–14, Monday through Thursday, with rehearsal each day and specific times for each company to be determined. The company late-in party is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, from 7:30–10:00 pm, and important dates include Spring Break closure March 28–April 5, ASH Dance Convention April 17–19, Energy Dance Competition April 24–26, VIP Dance Competition May 8–10, the last day of 2025–26 classes on May 21, the end of the year dance recital on May 30, and the Dance Company Banquet on June 1.
Beyond the Stars Performing Arts Academy describes itself as a “triple threat” performing arts academy that offers dance classes, voice lessons, and acting classes. The program states that students with training in all three subjects become very well rounded in the large world of performing arts. It notes that additional classes such as acro, tap, contemporary, improv, hip hop, tricks & turns, and stretch & strength may be added as extra classes with a multi-class 10% discount, and that additional classes may be taken with this multi-class 10% discount. The academy also rents studio space for private events.
