Beyond the Stars Performing Arts Camp

Beyond the Stars Performing Arts Academy offers dance classes, voice lessons, and acting classes, along with performances throughout the year. The program also includes the Beyond The Stars Competitive Dance Company, which holds company auditions and rehearsals during Choreography Camp, as well as events such as a Dance Company Late-In Party, company holiday party, and end of the year awards banquet. Additional activities include a Summer 2025 six week session, an End of the Year Dance Recital, and studio rental for private events.

The 2025–2026 season calendar lists Choreography Camp from August 11–14, the first day of 2025–26 classes on September 2, Halloween Week from October 27–30, and the last day of 2025–26 classes on May 21. The schedule also includes the End of the Year Dance Recital on May 30 and the Dance Company Banquet on June 1. Company auditions are scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2025, with a 6:00–7:30 pm time slot for 3rd to 6th grade and 8:00–9:30 pm for 7th grade and up, and families are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early to fill out the application and get prepared for class.

Beyond the Stars Performing Arts Academy is described as a “triple threat” performing arts academy where students train in dance, voice, and acting. The program notes that students with training in dance, voice, and acting become very well rounded in the large world of performing arts. It offers a multi-class 10% discount and studio space rental for private events. The BTS Dance Company is a selected group of dancers chosen through an annual audition process, and company dancers represent the academy in many performances throughout the year, including past events at Yorktown Mall and Six Flags Dancefest.

Office hours from September through May are listed as Monday 4:30 pm–7:30 pm, Tuesday 4:30 pm–9:30 pm, Wednesday 4:30 pm–8:30 pm, and Thursday 4:30 pm–9:30 pm. The calendar includes multiple competitions and conventions, such as Kids Artistic Revue Competition, KAR Dance Competition, Precision Arts Challenge, Inferno Dance Competition, Energy Dance Competition, VIP Dance Competition, Artists Simply Human Dance Convention & Competition, Starpower Talent Competition, Leap Dance Competition, and Six Flags Dancefest, as well as the ASH Dance Convention. The program also lists a Dance Company Late-In Party on September 6 from 7:30 pm–10:00 pm and notes that the studio is closed for Thanksgiving Break (November 24–30), Winter Break (December 22–January 4), and Spring Break (March 28–April 5).

The academy states that its energetic instructors are experienced professionals who teach students in proper technique and teaching methods. Its mission statement says that it prides itself on superior instruction and builds students through commitment and accomplishment, and that Beyond the Stars embraces unity and individual growth while providing personal attention and professional training.
