Summer Dance Camps includes ballroom, Latin, and standard dance styles, along with ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and creative movement. The program also offers yoga, Pilates, and fitness workouts, as well as private and group classes, social dance nights, and special occasion dances. Camp activities include an introduction to the choreography world, talks about dance history, dancers’ diets, work ethics, and what it takes to be successful, plus a Thursday night sleepover with movie watching and a Friday morning team match using dance choreography, dance history, and reenacting bad and good habits, along with time at Cypress Cove water park and, in case of rain, swimming at the Oakbrook park district swimming pool.

• Schedule: Intensive Summer Dance Camp at the Studio runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on June 9–13, June 23–27, July 7–11, July 21–25, and August 4–8, with an additional Intensive Summer Dance Camp in Michigan from July 27 to August 2
Highly trained and skilled instructors lead the program, with experience in teaching and performing various styles and techniques. The leadership team includes founder and artistic director Sandra Krumhorn (Ballroom, Latin, and Standard), along with instructors Nathan Krumhorn, Emilia Zeikus, Max, Domas Vaitkus, Serena Pav, Diana Bakas, Benas Bartninkas, and Gabija Bickus for ballroom and Latin; Nijole Cerniauskaite for ballet; Sophia Cabrere for contemporary and hip hop; Aira and Agneta for Pilates and fitness workouts; and Inga Wilke, Raminta, and Indre Jasisnskaite as yoga practitioners. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided during the camp. The studio’s mission is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique environment in which students can grow both mentally and physically as dancers.
DanceDuo Studio and its dancers have participated in charitable events such as the 19th annual dance celebration “Time Travelers,” the 18th annual celebration “Electrified,” the 17th annual celebration “Ma chérie…will see you in Paris,” Joe’s champagne wishes in support of youth art programs, and “ČLM abiturientų stipendijos lėšų telkimo vakaras su V.Bareikiu.” The studio and its dancers have earned awards including a 5th place Top Studio award at the 2023 Windy City Dancesport competition, Top 3rd studio awards at Chicago All-Star Dancesport (2019) and Windy City Open Dancesport (2021), and multiple national placements and medals at NDCA Nationals, the U.S. National Amateur DanceSport Championship, American Championships, USA Dance Nationals, and the 2023 Harvest Moon Ball Dancesport Competition.
