Art Camp introduces kids to a different artistic theme each week through hands-on projects, playful experimentation, and joyful self-expression. Campers explore all kinds of mediums, materials, and tools as they learn how colors interact, create a color palette, and blend 2D and 3D materials. Activities include tactile, nature-based art experiences that explore organic shapes and earthy tones, bringing the outdoors into artwork, as well as using open-ended materials to turn big ideas into something visual, create wild creatures and imaginary lands, experiment with texture, pattern, and form, and explore storytelling through motion by creating art that dances, flickers, and flies; the day also includes a lunch break and, weather permitting, outdoor time in a courtyard.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am to 1pm, in week-long sessions from June 30 through August 1
• Price: Community Rate: $150/week; Supporter Rate: $170/week; Sustainer Rate: $190/week; Session 1 is pro-rated; lunch option: $6/day
Art Camp is the first-ever summer camp at Bloomington Fine Art Supply and follows a curiosity-led, mess-positive approach. Admission includes all materials and supplies, as well as a camp t-shirt, and families can choose a locally-sourced box lunch option from Bloomingfoods for $6 per day or pack their own lunch. Owner and Founder Heather Farmer leads the program and holds an Associate's Degree in Illustration, a dual BFA in Drawing and Graphic Design, and a Master of Art in Arts Administration, and has been a permanent resident of Bloomington since 2010. Bloomington Fine Art Supply is a woman-owned, mother-run, artist-run creative hub that provides artist and professional-grade tools, materials, and supplies, offers a wide variety of classes, workshops, and demonstrations, and partners with artists in the community. The organization’s mission is to equip and celebrate visual artists of all levels of experience, at every stage of the creative process, and it offers sliding scale pricing with no paperwork or proof required. As artists, Bloomington city residents, and parents, the team is committed to keeping creative exploration accessible for neighbors and shares updates through a monthly e-zine, Paint Can Press, which includes subscriber-only offers, workshop sneak peeks, upcoming collaborations, and local artist highlights.
