Family Success Martial Arts offers Karate For Kids, Karate classes for kids, Teen & Adult Classes, Adult Martial Arts, and Martial Arts for Adults. The program includes Songahm Taekwondo, Krav Maga, and martial arts weapons training with nunchuks, short stick, staff, sword, broadsword, and kama. Instruction also covers Pressure Point Control Tactics, Joint Manipulations, Yusul (throws and ground fighting), Bully Prevention, Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention, and Child Abduction Prevention & Awareness.

Family Success Martial Arts is a family owned, operated, and orientated modern martial arts academy that offers programs for children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with special needs. The academy follows a comprehensive Martial Arts Curriculum focused on Black Belt Leadership Excellence and emphasizes a supportive, safe, and inclusive community, with a focus on life skills such as discipline, self-confidence, focus, and a strong sense of self. The mission of Family Success Martial Arts Academy is to provide a state-of-the-art facility, a nationally certified instructional staff, and a comprehensive curriculum, with a goal of inspiring each member to achieve Black Belt Leadership Excellence through goal setting, life skills, and positive role models, in a safe, fun, and positive learning environment based on high goal setting and a positive mental attitude for students of all ages.
The instructional staff at Family Success Martial Arts Academy is nationally certified. Instructor and owner Mr. Shane Bosstick is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Songahm Taekwondo and is working toward his 5th Degree Black Belt, and he began his martial arts training in 1985. He holds certifications in martial arts weapons including nunchuks, short stick, staff, sword, broadsword, and kama, and in skills such as Pressure Point Control Tactics, Joint Manipulations, Yusul (throws and ground fighting), Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention, Child Abduction Prevention & Awareness, and Bully Prevention, and he became a certified Krav Maga Instructor in January 2013. Co-owner Mrs. Melissa Bosstick is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Songahm Taekwondo and began her martial arts training in 2000. Chief Master Phillip Minton serves as trainer and director for Mr. and Mrs. Bosstick.
Family Success Martial Arts has been awarded the Go2 Karate Distinction Award for Bloomington, IN, recognizing its role in strengthening the local community and its members through martial arts training. The program takes bullying seriously and stands up to protect youth within the community, and it provides specialized programs for Bully Prevention. The academy states that it believes a family that kicks together will grow, develop, and stay together.
