• Ages: 6–18 years old
Indianapolis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is Indy's first and oldest operating Jiu-Jitsu academy and has over 36 years of experience in Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Instruction in the kids program is rooted in Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a focus on real world self-defense and long term skill development. The primary focus is to teach effective techniques for self-defense and to prepare students for the street or self defense situations rather than only sport or tournament competitions. The academy does not make it mandatory or push students into sport competition and supports students whether or not they choose to compete. The leadership team is headed by owner Professor Greg Eldred, a 5th degree Black Belt, and the academy has highly trained and qualified instructors, four of whom are Black Belts. The environment is described by the academy as safe and non threatening, and Jiu-Jitsu there is described as a way of life, promoting respect, relationships, and taking care of families. Indianapolis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is accepting new students in all programs and serves the greater Indianapolis area. The academy states as its mission that it will provide a professional, high quality training environment that will help students reach their goals.
