Soccer Shots is a children’s soccer program where kids play soccer through fun games, team competitions, and competitive play. The program focuses on age-appropriate soccer skills and fundamental soccer principles such as using feet, dribbling, passing, shooting, and learning the basic rules of the game.
• Ages: 18 months–8 years old
Soccer Shots offers MINI (Toddler), CLASSIC (Preschool), and PREMIER (School-Age) programs that use an expert-designed, age-appropriate curriculum. Each session highlights a specific character trait such as respect, teamwork, or appreciation, and the curriculum is taught on a play area called Soccer Island. The curriculum is expert-approved, aligns with early childhood education standards, and is created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches. Soccer Shots proactively communicates cancellations due to weather or other circumstances.
Every Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification, is trained in the use of developmentally appropriate techniques, and is routinely evaluated and given ongoing training. Soccer Shots was formed in 1997 and began franchising in 2005, with its first four franchises in Ohio, Delaware, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Soccer Shots Franchising, LLC is based in central Pennsylvania, just east of Harrisburg, and the program is offered in over 43 states and two provinces across the U.S. and Canada. There were over 560,000 enrollments in Soccer Shots programming in 2023.
The founding partners, Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, were soccer teammates in college and professionally, and in May 2009, Justin Bredeman, another former college soccer teammate, became the third Soccer Shots partner. Soccer Shots states its mission as aiming to positively impact children’s lives as the premier Children’s Soccer Experience. Soccer Shots is consistently recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as the #1 Children’s Fitness Franchise in the U.S. Through partnerships with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Nike, and other organizations, Soccer Shots aims to impact children and communities across the U.S. and the world.
