Franklin Swim School offers group lessons for ages 3-10, private lessons beginning at 3 years old, competitive swimming lessons, adult swim lessons, Learn to Swim Child lessons, Competitive Lessons for non-FRST athletes, triathletes, and masters swimmers, and Deluxe lessons with underwater video review. Children start with self-rescue and back floating before freestyle and backstroke, and group lessons have a student-to-teacher ratio of 1:4 or lower.
Programs
- Group Lessons — Ages 3-10 · $10 per class · Led by the swim school director and high school aged swim instructors; student-to-teacher ratio of 1:4 or lower.
- Private Lessons — Beginning at 3 years old · $15 per class · 1-on-1 lessons taught by trained high school instructors and professional coaches.
- Competitive Lesson — $45 per class · Competitive swimming lessons taught by professional coaches.
- Adult Swim Lessons — Adults · $20 per class · 1-on-1 lessons taught by professional coaches.
- Learn to Swim Child — Beginning at 3 years old · Private lessons focused on fundamentals of self-rescue and back floating progressing to freestyle and backstroke.
- Competitive Lessons — For non-FRST athletes, triathletes, and masters swimmers; focused on key elements needing extra work.
- Deluxe — Uses an underwater video system for instant feedback and video review to accelerate stroke changes.

About the provider
Franklin Swim School is led by Franklin teachers and swim coaches, with assistance from athletes from the local Franklin Regional Swim Team. Its mission is to share a love for the water through safe and effective instruction, and its primary goal is to teach water safety to as many children as possible.
Children start with self-rescue and back floating before freestyle and backstroke. Group lessons have a student-to-teacher ratio of 1:4 or lower. If a time slot is unavailable, there is a waitlist form. Families can schedule private lessons at convenient times and days.
