Le Rose Dance Academy

Le Rose Dance Academy offers Dance & Play for toddlers with a parent or guardian joining the class. It also offers Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Lyrical, and Everybody Dance Now (EDN). Ballet starts at age 2.5, with a 30-minute Baby Let’s Dance Ballet class for ages 2.5 to 3.5. Jazz and Tap start at age 4, and Hip Hop starts at age 5.

Programs

• Dance & Play — introductory toddler dance class; parent or guardian joins · Parent participation class that introduces toddlers to the studio and helps them feel comfortable learning to dance.
• Ballet — starting at 2.5 years old; 2.5 - 3.5 years old can take a 30-minute Baby Let's Dance Ballet class · Class format is typically a combo class until dancers reach 4th grade.
• Jazz — starting at age 4 · Typically offered in a combo class; once a dancer is in 4th grade, they can take a standalone jazz class.
• Tap — starting at age 4 · Typically offered in a combo class; once a dancer is in 4th grade, they can take a standalone tap class.
• Hip Hop — starting at age 5 · Typically offered in a combo class; once a dancer is in 4th grade, they can take a standalone hip hop class.
• Tumbling — Younger students are encouraged to take a combo class; older students will incorporate Acrobatic Dance moves and progressions.
• Lyrical — A blend of ballet and jazz combining technical elements of classical dance with expressive freedom of contemporary movement.
• Everybody Dance Now (EDN) — students with Special Needs · This 30-minute class includes a warm-up, stretching, opening song, across the floor jazz technique, and five to ten minutes of socialization time.

About the provider

Le Rose Dance Academy was established in the Fall of 1995. Amanda Nixon is the Director. The site states that all staff have relevant teaching qualifications, receive mentoring and supervision, and take part in regular professional development and training. It also says the mission is to provide a positive and caring environment for all dancers, build relationships with dancers, and give them knowledge of all styles of dance.

Safety for dancers, families, and staff is stated as a top priority. Annual registration fee is $35 for your first dancer and $15 for each subsequent dancer. Monthly tuition is based on class type and class length, August-June, based on a 4 lessons per month average. Costume fee and recital fee are also listed.
