About

Blade Family Martial Arts Academy offers Karate, Tae Kwon Do, an Okinawan Kobudo (Weapons) program, a Women Only Self Defense class, Kids Night Out events, and private lessons. The Okinawan Kobudo program focuses on six traditional Okinawan weapons: Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Nunchaku, Eiku, and Kama, with instruction in manipulation, body conditioning, free exercise, theory, and self defense for each weapon. Students in the Kobudo program receive a small weapons patch for each weapon and, after certification in all six weapons, can earn a “Kobudo Black belt” or 1st Level kanji patch, with additional structured 2nd and 3rd Level kanji patch requirements.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekly classes with Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kobudo (Weapons), and Women Only Self Defense options on Monday through Saturday, with attendance generally limited to 2 classes per week per style
• Price: Kids Night Out $25/child; monthly program rates starting at $50–$85 for individual programs, $115 for combined Karate or Tae Kwon Do with Kobudo, $125 for dual Tae Kwon Do and Karate, family rates starting at $240/month, and private lessons at $55 per hour

The leadership team includes Sensei Courtland Blade, a 4th Degree Black Belt in Shorei Goju Ryu and 3rd Level in Okinawan Kobudo, and Instructor Angel Blade, a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Shorei Goju Ryu and 2nd Level in Okinawan Kobudo.
