About

Camps at the Indiana State Museum include hands-on activities, discovery, play, museum gallery visits, outdoor recess, and free choice time. The camps are designed to inspire, educate and provide experiences for children from prekindergarten through eighth grade. Seasonal options include Winter Break Camps, Spring Break Camps, Summer Camps, and Fall Camps, with more than 30 single-day and weeklong summer camps available.

• Ages: 4–13 years old
• Schedule: Camps run from 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with free time offered in the morning and late afternoon; specific free time windows vary by season.
• Price: Winter, Spring, and Fall Camps are $65 per camper per day with a 10% member discount, $5 sibling discount, and $10/day scholarships; Summer Early Childhood Camps are $30 per camper per day or $130 per camper per week with a 10% member discount and $5 sibling discount; Summer Youth Camps are $65 per camper per day or $265 per camper per week with a 10% member discount, $5 sibling discount, and $10/day or $50/week scholarships.

Members receive a 10% discount on camp registration fees and access to early registration ahead of nonmembers. The museum’s mission for these camps is stated as: “We ignite wonder, inspire curiosity, reveal stories and create connections.” The camp program is led by a team that includes Cathy Ferree (President and CEO), Bethany Thomas (VP, Education and Engagement), Dru Sherfick (Senior Early Childhood Program Manager), Hayley Wilson (Director of Interpretation), Rebeccah Swanson (Gallery Program Manager), Jordan Brinker (Public Programs Manager, family and adult), Marissa Subar (Camp Program Manager), and Hannah Lewellyn (Program & Partnership Manager).
