Camps at the Museum offers seasonal Winter Break, Spring Break, Summer, and Fall Break camps that include themed activities, museum gallery visits, outdoor recess, free choice time, and a wide variety of hands-on activities, discovery, play, and friend-making opportunities. Seasonal camps are designed to inspire, educate and provide unforgettable experiences for children from prekindergarten through eighth grade. During Spring Break Camps, campers can become sculptors, artists, innovators and more, with a different experience each day.
• Ages: 4–13 years old
• Schedule: Camps run from 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with free time offered from 8–9 a.m. and 3:45–5 p.m. for Winter Break Camps and Fall Break Camps, and from 8–9 a.m. and 4–5 p.m. for Spring Break Camps
• Price: $65 per camper per day with a 10% discount for members, a $5 sibling discount, and $10 per day scholarships for Winter Break, Spring Break, and Fall Break Camps; $30 per camper per day or $130 per camper per week for Early Childhood Summer Camps with a 10% discount for members and a $5 sibling discount; $65 per camper per day or $265 per camper per week for Youth Summer Camps with a 10% discount for members, a $5 sibling discount, and $50 per week scholarships
The program is part of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites system, which is rooted throughout Indiana to serve Hoosiers. Members save 10% on camp registration fees and get access to early registration ahead of nonmembers. The summer camp lineup includes more than 30 single-day and weeklong camps. The museum’s mission statement for these programs is: “We ignite wonder, inspire curiosity, reveal stories and create connections.” Leadership connected to education and camps includes Bethany Thomas, VP of Education and Engagement, Dru Sherfick, Senior Early Childhood Program Manager, Rebeccah Swanson, Gallery Program Manager, Jordan Brinker, Public Programs Manager (family and adult), Marissa Subar, Camp Program Manager, and Hannah Lewellyn, Program & Partnership Manager.
