Dyslexia Institute of Indiana (Dii) offers 1:1 Orton-Gillingham tutoring for students ages 6 to adult and provides a college prep evaluation for students age 16 and older. Dii offers comprehensive evaluations to test for dyslexia, administered by a certified school psychologist, and testing includes both a one-hour parent consultation with a Dii dyslexia specialist and a 90-minute post-testing conference with the psychologist. Dii serves students, parents, adults, and educators impacted by dyslexia and other language learning difficulties through several primary programs using the Orton-Gillingham approach, including the ReadySetREAD program, which uses the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and writing in small groups during the school day in schools. Testing is administered by a certified school psychologist, and the organization is led by CEO Deniese Hofmeister.

Camp Delafield is a summer day camp focused on reaching the “whole child” through academic mornings, including 1:1 Orton-Gillingham tutoring daily, as well as fun, play filled activities each afternoon, and is designed for students ages 7–12. Dii has been helping children with dyslexia and other learning differences improve literacy skills since 1989, was incorporated in 1989, and first held Camp Delafield in 1990. Over the years, Dii has launched Wells Outreach Tutoring Services for year-round outreach tutoring, created A Reading Place for Adults, and started the ReadySetREAD program in schools with support from a major grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Trust. By its 25th year in 2014, Camp Delafield had served over 1,000 students, Wells Outreach Tutoring Services had impacted 2,474 people, educator training had reached nearly 2,500 individuals, and ReadySetREAD had reached nearly 1,290 students. Dii reports having served more than 5,000 students over 36 years, raising millions of dollars for its programs, and having 82 staff members across all Indiana counties. The mission of the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana states that, believing all people are entitled to fulfill their potential, it exists to serve children, adolescents, and adults with specific learning disabilities.
