About
Early Learning Center Preschool and Pre-K Program offers traditional preschool and pre-K classes in an inclusive environment, with both half-day and full-day options. The program uses a research-based curriculum that follows the Indiana Early Learning Standards and Paths to Quality Level 3 standards. Children receive breakfast, lunch, and a snack each day, with meal costs included in tuition, and classrooms maintain student-to-staff ratios of 10 to 1 for three-year-olds, 12 to 1 for four-year-olds, and 15 to 1 for five-year-olds.
• Ages: 3–5 years old
• Schedule: Full-day and half-day preschool and pre-K options, with before care from 6:30–8:30 and after care from 3:30–5:30 on weekdays, and developmental pre-K classes held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in either a morning or afternoon session
• Price: Preschool and pre-K full day $900 per month or $9,500 per year (10 payments of $950); half day $450 per month or $4,750 per year ($475 per month), with additional $25 per month for drop-off between 6:30–7:00 am and $25 per month for pick-up after 5:00 pm; students who access special education services and attend the half-day program do not pay tuition for that half day, and families who add the second half of the day pay the half-day tuition
The Early Learning Center is a licensed early childhood program that follows all requirements as a Legally Licensed Exempt Childcare Center and accepts CCDF and On My Way Pre-K vouchers. Staff prioritize high-quality early learning and follow the Indiana Early Learning Standards using a research-based curriculum along with Paths to Quality Level 3 standards. The program’s mission is to create a loving, inclusive preschool community where every child is connected, challenged, and celebrated, and to foster a safe, welcoming environment where children feel secure, respected, and empowered to be themselves.
Enrollment is open for all students in the full and half-day program, but is limited to families who live or work in the Washington Township School district. The Early Learning Center works with the Washington Township Schools resource team, including therapists, to meet each child’s specific needs, and food service is provided by Child Nutrition Services staff at North Central High School. The program follows the Washington Township Schools district calendar, with instructional hours for the full-day program from 8:25–3:35 and the building open Monday through Friday until 5:30, and students dropped off between 6:30–7:00 am or picked up after 5:00 pm are charged the stated additional monthly fees. Families must complete enrollment paperwork and submit the first month’s tuition payment to hold a spot in the program, and tuition may be increased based on school board recommendations.
