Expressenz Dance Center Recreational Program offers ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and more. The program has flexible enrollment and performance opportunities that include a Holiday Showcase and Spring Recital.

Programs

• Recreational Program — 0-18 · Designed for dancers of all ages and skill levels; offers ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and more; flexible enrollment; performance opportunities include Holiday Showcase and Spring Recital.
• Mommy & Me — 18 months-2 · Dancers stretch, learn music movement, and basic dance steps with a parent; 30 minute class.
• Baby Ballerinas — 2-3 · Focuses on basic fundamentals of movement, rhythm, stretching, and ballet technique; 30 minute class.
• Storybook Ballet — 3-4 · Focuses on basic fundamentals of ballet; class is based on the story the instructor reads that day; 45 minute class.
• Broadway Babies — 4-5 · Teaches basic fundamentals of tap and ballet; 45 minute class.
• Mini 1 Jazz — 5-6 · High energy class focusing on turns, isolations, flexibility, and leaps; 1 hour class.
• Mini 1 Tap/Ballet — 5-6 · Teaches basic fundamentals of tap and ballet; 1 hour class split into 30 minutes tap and 30 minutes ballet.
• Hippity Hop — 5-8 · Teaches fundamental hip-hop dance technique; 45 minute class.
• Pre-Company — 5-11 · For dancers just starting to compete; students compete in one competition located in Indianapolis; 30 minute class.
• Mini/Junior Tap — 7-11 · Teaches individual tap technique and step combinations; 45 minute class.
• Mini 2 Jazz — 7-9 · High energy class focusing on turns, isolations, flexibility, and leaps; 1 hour class.
• Mini 2 Ballet — 7-9 · Focuses on technique, terminology, strength, and flexibility; 1 hour class.

About the provider

Expressenz Dance Center opened in September 2008. In 2024, Expressenz won Studio of the Year. The mission statement says the Recreational Dance Program offers fun, high-quality training for all ages and skill levels, and that dance should be fun, inspiring, and accessible to all.

Flexible enrollment; performance opportunities include Holiday Showcase and Spring Recital. Tuition is charged monthly. Annual registration fee for the 2026-2027 season is non-refundable. A valid credit or debit card must be kept on file. Written notice via email must be submitted at least 5 days prior to the next billing cycle to withdraw.
