About
Glendale Soccer Association Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer through a Recreation program, a Recreation Plus program, and Summer Camps. The Recreation program is mixed gender and open to children in Pre-K through 4th grade, and the Recreation Plus program is open to 5th graders through high school. The Recreation program emphasizes fun in a non-competitive environment where children are introduced to basic soccer skills, and the Recreation Plus program provides a slightly more competitive environment while still being fun for the players.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Program options available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM EST
Glendale Soccer Association was established in 1987 as an entirely volunteer run, non-profit association. Its mission is described as fostering a lifelong love of the game. Glendale Soccer follows the rules and regulations of the Indiana Soccer Association and U.S. Soccer. Glendale Soccer is an Indy Eleven Partner Club, and teams in the Recreation Plus program play in the North Central Recreational Soccer League (NCRSL) against other clubs based in the Northeast Indianapolis area. The Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program is designed to increase accessibility to soccer in communities and encourage players, coaches, referees, and parents to grow their passion for the sport by supporting the recreational soccer programs at member clubs. Every season, volunteer coaches, parent helpers, coordinators, and board members are needed. The program’s logo features penguins from a sculpture that was located at the Glendale Mall near the former home field, and that sculpture is now located at the Indianapolis Zoo penguin exhibit.
