Indiana State Museum Camps and Youth Programs take place within the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites system, which includes hands-on camps and immersive free field trips. The flagship museum features three floors of galleries and exhibits that focus on Indiana’s art, science, culture and innovation, including topics ranging from Ice Age fossils to future-focused ideas.

The Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites system is rooted throughout Indiana and includes 11 historic sites that share stories of the Underground Railroad, renowned artists, historic mansions and Native American earthworks. Across its locations, the system holds more than 500,000 objects related to the human experience, the natural world and the Hoosier spirit. Membership provides access to the museum, the 11 historic sites and more than 600 other museums and science centers nationally. The organization’s mission statement is: “We ignite wonder, inspire curiosity, reveal stories and create connections.” The leadership team includes President and CEO Cathy Ferree, along with staff in areas such as education and engagement, early childhood programs, camp programs, public programs, interpretation, curation, communication, membership, facility rentals, retail operations, theater management, volunteer and intern services, human resources and talent acquisition.
