Indianapolis Spanish Place - Children's Spanish Programs offers immersion Spanish instruction for children through activity-based Spanish learning. Children take part in Spanish classes at their school, Spanish classes at the Indianapolis Spanish Place location, Saturday children's classes, children's private classes, and summer children's programs. Classes include fun games in Spanish, exercises in Spanish, and conversational Spanish practice.

Children’s classes are taught by experienced and enthusiastic native teachers, and classes are conducted by experienced, native instructors who use immersion methodology. Spanish instruction is provided by 100% fluent Spanish speakers in a full immersion learning setting, with a carefully planned curriculum and age-appropriate activities for children in every class. The program uses a small class setting and informal, welcoming small groups, with a focus on understanding and speaking Spanish rather than memorization or grammar books, and activity-based learning where students actively participate and discover the language.
Indianapolis Spanish Place is led by Directors Diana Mosquera (Colombia) and Marcela Salgar. It is a Midwest business that started together with Ohio locations in Cincinnati in 2004, Cleveland in 2011, and Columbus in 2017. Its mission is to serve English- and Spanish-speakers with products and services that offer educational, linguistic, cultural, social, and communication benefits, including Spanish instruction, translation, ESL instruction, interpretation, social networking, study abroad, and print, broadcast, and online publishing, and to bring people together while encouraging tolerance, understanding, and exploration of new languages, cultures, and ideas.
The program partners with local schools and provides Spanish classes at different schools and preschools, and also offers programming for children through area schools. It also offers local, affordable, high quality translation and interpretation services, Spanish interpretation services in-person throughout the Indianapolis area or over the phone, and Police/Medical Spanish programs for police, correction personnel, medical professionals, and first responders.
Parent and student feedback includes comments that teachers are “absolutely AMAZING,” that classes are “very interactive,” and that children talk about the teacher “all week in anticipation of his arrival.” One preschool teacher, Indya Benton, notes that the teacher is energetic, upbeat, patient, caring, and that parents report their children are speaking Spanish words at home.
