Northside Soccer offers Rec League and Rec Plus soccer programs. The program also holds a Family Picnic that includes a bounce house, face painting, and hot dogs, with free admission for families. Co-ed teams are available for U6, U8, and U10 players.
• Ages: 5–9 years old
First organized in 1982, Northside Soccer is devoted to offering players and families a positive playing experience. The organization is volunteer run, with the board, coaches, concessions, and events all volunteer organized. The program follows an Everybody Plays policy that mandates even playing time for every player on every team, and teams are formed to be as evenly balanced as possible each year. Open Registration welcomes all youth who want to play soccer, and coaches are required to create a positive experience for every player. Programs are designed to instill good sportsmanship and focus on player development of soccer skills and knowledge. Rec League teams have one practice per week and one game per week within the league, while Rec Plus offers a more competitive environment with two practices per week and weekend games against local clubs.
