About

Swim Lessons includes swimming lessons where participants can swim laps, as well as options to play basketball and take an aerobics class. The program takes place at an indoor aquatic facility that is open year-round and includes a leisure pool with a zero-depth entry to 3 feet in depth, a water playhouse with a small slide, geysers, and spray features, a large water slide for people at least 48 inches tall, and a separate 3-lane swimming pool that is 3 ½ to 6 feet in depth. Lap swimming is available upon request and availability, and the facility includes an accessible ramp in the leisure pool and an accessibility chair in the lap pool.

• Ages: 3–15 years old
• Schedule: Open swim hours during the school year are on Saturdays from 11 am to 6 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 6 pm, with swim team practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm
• Price: Admissions are $6 for adults and $5 for children under 18, with children 2 and under free; youth swim lessons for ages 5–15 cost $49, and preschool swim lessons for ages 3–5 cost $34.

In 1994, the Warren Township Metropolitan School District worked with Indy Parks to merge properties for the development of a middle school and to create Raymond Park Middle School and Indy Island Aquatic Center. Indy Parks and Recreation provides parks, greenspaces, trails, and recreation opportunities for Marion County residents and visitors. The mission of Indy Parks is to provide enriching experiences for all.
