In 1994, the Warren Township Metropolitan School District worked with Indy Parks to merge properties to create Raymond Park Middle School and Indy Island Aquatic Center. Indy Parks states its mission as: “To provide enriching experiences for all.” Indy Parks and Recreation provides parks, greenspaces, trails, and recreation opportunities for Marion County residents and visitors. The City Wide Swim program is a competitive group of swimmers between the ages of 6 to 18 requiring a commitment of two practices a week.
