The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis Youth Programs include activities such as Sports Clinics, Member Mornings, and special programs like May Homeschool: Into the Blue! Ocean Science. Children can take in live theater shows (seasonal), experiment in the science lab, and play the day away in Playscape. They can also explore exhibits that feature dinosaurs, a mastodon discovered in Indiana, pop culture, and powerful stories of Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges, Ryan White, and Malala Yousafzai, as well as experiences like CAPCOM Go! The Apollo Story, Dancing Through Lima, Art Show Catastrophe!, boarding the plane to Peru, blasting off into space, and climbing aboard the Reuben Wells steam engine when it is open.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis Youth Programs take place in a setting that includes five floors of interactive exhibits, a historic Carousel, the largest water clock in North America, Dale Chihuly's tallest permanent installations, the ability to touch a dinosaur bone, steer a pedal car, make art, board the space station, and ride a historic carousel in one visit, as well as 7.5 acres of outdoor sports experiences (seasonal) with adaptive equipment available for each sport and access to the infoZone Library. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit organization with a mission to ignite joy, wonder, and curiosity by creating powerful learning experiences for children and adults. Community involvement includes participation in the Access Pass program with other Indianapolis cultural institutions and Community Access efforts that focus on access and inclusivity through community and neighborhood programs and partnerships.
