Happy Hollow Children’s Camp has been serving summer since 1951. The campground includes an 850-acre property with spacious upgraded cabins, on-staff nurses and other medical staff, friendly counselors and program staff, delicious food and snacks, and campfire circles. The mission of Happy Hollow Children’s Camp is to provide an outdoor experience for everyone, especially youth, that encourages human potential through exploration, connection, and self-discovery. The program offers recreational and educational activities and operates every day of the year through Camp 365, a signature summer camp, the Hear Indiana Camp event, and a 75th Anniversary Celebration event. Scholarships and sliding scale pricing, transportation assistance, and support services are available, and the organization engages with other agencies, organizations, donors, and funders to strengthen the community. One former camper, Mary Caldwell, describes attending every summer as a child, staying for a week, enjoying activities like learning how to row and canoe, and receiving postcards from home during the week.
