The Indianapolis Fencing Club Youth & Beginner Fencing Programs are part of a non-profit co-op club that is run by fencers for fencers and has been the premier fencing club in Central Indiana for over 40 years. The club states that it exists to promote the sport of fencing in the greater Indianapolis area and is committed to the safe and responsible practice of the sport at educational, recreational, and competitive levels. As a member of the Indiana Division of the USA Fencing Association, the club hosts competitions for the local and regional fencing community, offers educational demonstrations for interested groups, and provides a regular venue for practice, training, and bouting. The club notes that fencing is often called “physical chess,” offers free trial classes, and states that membership pricing is optimized to be as low as possible while still covering club needs, and that memberships can be ended at any time without contracts.
