Camp Sousley Military Adventure Camp’s programs are developed and taught by ex-Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, and other prior military and law enforcement experienced individuals. Courses are modeled after real world Army, Marine, Navy, and private military training, and include 18 unique courses with a combined cadre experience of 150. The Military Adventure Camp is described as a military-style boot camp and military exploration and preparatory experience for kids and teens interested in military or defense fields, and most skills taught are not U.S.-specific and can be used in militaries and security companies around the world. The Sousley Military Institute connected to Camp Sousley offers high school credit in Physical Education and Leadership, and the camp states that it teaches mental stamina, leadership, self-discipline, self-leadership, and self-reliance in addition to physical skills. Camp Sousley reports that recruits are not obliged to enter any form of military service after completing a course and that it is not affiliated with any military or company.

Camp Sousley is a privately operated military camp for youth with a standalone facility dedicated entirely to military training operations and operates year round. In the fall and spring, the entire campus is devoted to corporate retreats, which are available to organizations of any size and employees of any type as 1–5 day military training style programs. Military Adventure Camp summer programs are described as fully immersive and intended as a condensed training foundation for careers in defense or military fields, and the camp notes that it is the first institution of its kind to offer extensive training for private military careers. Camp Sousley reports that it has trained participants from 13 countries, including two Saudi princes, and describes itself as an ideal choice for foreign students looking for a premier summer military preparatory program.

Camp Sousley states that it is staffed 24 hours a day, uses security cameras, and has a strict code of conduct in place. It is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization. The camp notes that it is conveniently located within a short driving distance of Louisville, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Columbus, and that it provides pickup and drop-off at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport and the Lexington, KY Airport. Camp Sousley reports that it is available seven days a week and responds to most inquiries within 24 hours.

One testimonial notes that, unlike most summer camps that offer sports like soccer and baseball and sometimes riflery, the Military Adventure Camp in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, has kids ages 12–18 learn to shoot assault-style rifles and practice sniper skills and hand-to-hand combat.
