Eager Beaver Summer Day Camp offers swimming activities, arts and crafts, organized sports and activities, outdoor games, walking trails, and fishing. A typical day can include track and field activities, a free swim period, organized games, and a cookout and fun day, along with lunch and activities based on a theme.
• Schedule: Eight weeks of summer, with two-week sessions that include a variety of activities
Each two-week session culminates on the second Friday, and each session is described as somewhat different from the others. The program states that it is designed to provide a wide range of recreational experiences for the youth of Abington at a minimum cost. Each participant receives an Eager Beaver T-shirt, and there may be one field trip per program session. Families are asked to send a morning snack, lunch with a drink, a swimsuit, and a towel each day, and to label all items with the child’s full name.
