North Shore Music Theatre Education Programs

North Shore Music Theatre Education Programs are part of a theater that offers a musical subscription series, an annual production of A Christmas Carol, celebrity concerts, children's programming, and year-round education programs. Since 1955, North Shore Music Theatre has become one of the most attended theatres in New England, with approximately 250,000 patrons annually. Under the ownership of Bill Hanney since 2010, the theater has continued to produce a musical subscription series, an annual production of A Christmas Carol, celebrity concerts, children's programming, and year-round education programs. The theater states that its audience is the reason it continues to produce award-winning musicals and offer educational programs for all ages. North Shore Music Theatre has a national and regional reputation for artistic achievement and has received awards including Elliot Norton Awards, IRNE Awards, the Rosetta Le Noire Award from Actors' Equity, and the Moss Hart Award. It produced the world premiere of Memphis in 2003, a show that later won four Tony Awards in 2010, including Best Musical. The theater states that it stands in solidarity with its Black employees, fellow theatre creators, performers, musicians, crew, audience members, and the Black community, and that it stands against racism and discrimination in all forms.
