Feet in Motion School of Dance

Feet in Motion School of Dance offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, pointe, and lyrical. The program includes an annual recital and a mandatory dress rehearsal during the 2025–26 season.

• Schedule: 2025–26 classes run from the week of Monday, Sept. 8–Saturday, Sept. 13 through the spring recital in mid May, with specific holiday and vacation closures listed on the FIM calendar

The program is led by Miss Janet and the entire FIM staff. The faculty states that they are dedicated to teaching dance in a fun, safe, and motivational environment, and that they view dance as both an art form and a discipline. They state that what children are exposed to at the school will stay with them for life and that they take the responsibility of being positive role models very seriously. Weather-related updates are posted on the program’s website, and for other unexpected schedule changes or class cancellations, families are notified by email or text. If necessary, classes may be held during vacation weeks to make up for weather-related or unforeseen closures, and the program notes that it does not follow any one particular school district calendar. Participation in the recital is not mandatory, but families must decide by mid November if they choose to take part.
