The Franklin Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit organization that governs, conducts, promotes, and encourages the playing of soccer by the youth of Franklin. It was established in 1967 and operated as a wholly volunteer organization out of the homes of its members for many years before hiring a Club Administrator and moving into an office in 2000. The organization’s Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules & Policies are published, and field status updates are provided for multiple fields and divisions. FYSA Board of Directors meetings are open to the public and are held the first Tuesday of every month in the FYSA office at 7:30 PM, with meeting times often moved to 8:00 PM during soccer playing seasons.

The mission of Franklin Youth Soccer Association is to develop players at all levels of interest and ability by helping them build and improve their skills, confidence, fitness, and sense of teamwork. The mission also states that the organization will use its best effort to provide each player with the opportunity to play soccer in an age-appropriate environment that emphasizes fun, competition, and the development of age-appropriate skills. The organization is committed to providing quality coach and referee education, promoting sporting behavior and fair play, and supporting and advocating for more and better training facilities and playing fields.

The leadership team includes President Evan Chelman, Vice President Mike Malamud, Secretary Daniella Bush, Treasurer Alexi Lammi, Travel Division Director Scott Trull, Academy Division Director Josh Lechter, Instructional Division Director Brian Weeks, FSC Director (acting) Evan Chelman, Director Emeritus Richard Frongillo, Club Administrator Karen Keator, and Referee Assignor Ian Schmellick.
