Adventure Base Camp

Base Camp offers week-long, full-day summer camps that include activities such as swimming, crafts, archery, fire-building, outdoor cooking, S.T.E.M programs, pioneering, environmental studies, hiking, creative arts and crafts, ice climbing, indoor swimming, a ropes course, BMX bikes, axe throwing, boating, an outdoor pool, sling shots, fishing, ice fishing, BB gun shooting sports, field sports, nature, and outdoor skills. The program is described as a classic summer camp with a twist, offering all of the classics such as swimming and crafts plus activities that are stated as not found anywhere else. Base Camp is presented as New England’s destination for outdoor adventure and as New England’s premier outdoor adventure park.

Base Camp is a network of outdoor adventure parks in New England, and each location offers unique activities and experiences. New England Base Camp features ice climbing, indoor swimming, and a ropes course. Adventure Base Camp features BMX bikes, axe throwing, boating, and an outdoor pool. Granite Base Camp features sling shots, fishing, ice fishing, and archery, and includes Fort Friendship, Pirate’s Cove, and Native American Village. Base Camp Express is the northern satellite for New England Base Camp and focuses on experiences in STEM. The program states that all families are welcome and that it offers one-of-a-kind day camp experiences for families across New England. Base Camp is a joint venture of the Spirit of Adventure, Daniel Webster, and Narragansett Councils, BSA. The mission of Base Camp is to provide unique outdoor adventures in a welcoming environment for families of all kinds to experience nature and create memories together. An Adventure Day Pass allows the entire family to experience all that Base Camp has to offer at one low cost.
