About
Kingston Youth Lacrosse offers boys and girls spring lacrosse seasons that include skills sessions, practices, and games. The program also offers a Kindergarten Learn to Play option, Union Point winter and spring schedules for certain boys age groups, opportunities to practice at home, and Summer LAX Club tryouts. Families can access online uniform ordering, a KLAX swag store, parent frequently asked questions, concussion information through the CDC HEADS UP module, AO training, and links to the MYL and Old Colony Youth Lacrosse League homepages.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Registration opens December 15 for the 2026 Spring Season, with U8–U14 girls and U9–U15 boys, skills sessions starting in March 2026, games primarily on Sundays through June, and Kindergarten Learn to Play opening in early April; practices are set after registration closes and coaches are confirmed.
• Price: A $25 Early Bird discount is available through January 15th for ages U10 and up, and uniforms cost $60 on the Stoller Sports website.
Kingston Youth Lacrosse states that its mission is to teach the game of lacrosse to all age groups from Kindergarten through 8th grade to prepare them for playing at the high school level and beyond, while encouraging teamwork, perseverance, physical fitness, personal integrity, and accountability on and off the field of play. The program welcomes all members of the lacrosse community for the Silver Lake Regional School towns of Kingston, Halifax, and Plympton. Town rec sports use parent volunteers, and Kingston Youth Lacrosse uses parent volunteers at practices and on the sidelines for games.
Uniforms are ordered separately through a Stoller Sports link, should be ordered as soon as players register to ensure delivery before the season, and U14 girls are required to wear skirts instead of shorts, even if they have shorts from previous years. KLAX gear is available through Firefly Specialty Printing, and the USLAX membership page is linked as a quick link. Board meetings are open to those who email [email protected] about attending or joining the KLAX board.
The leadership team includes Nick Vega (President), Theresa Miller (Secretary), Matt Burke (Treasurer), Steve Bellantoni (Website Coordinator and KYSO representative), John Cheverie (Field Manager), Kara Palleschi (Fundraising Committee), Katie LeFleur (Fundraising Committee), Angela Leahy (Fundraising Committee and Girls Registrar), Jenn Guevremont (Boys Registrar), and Devon Taft (Girls Coordinator), with open positions for Vice President, Boys Coordinator, Development Coordinator, and additional Fundraising Committee members.
