About
Camp Fire North Shore offers a nature-based, Waldorf inspired preschool, afterschool care, summer camps, teen initiatives, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers. The program currently enrolls children in Pre-K through grade 12 and supports 600 children and families annually across its programs. Camp Fire North Shore operates 7 out-of-school-time locations and is supported by 70 full and part time staff and volunteers across all of its programs.

Since 1949, Camp Fire North Shore has been empowering young people to thrive. Its mission is to empower every child to thrive personally and academically through safe, inclusive, and nurturing experiences rooted in nature, play, and the arts, while sparking curiosity, building confidence, and enabling caregivers to work and have meaningful lives. The organization’s community involvement includes staff advocacy work at the local, state, and federal levels, participation on local committees, action groups, and boards of directors, and partnerships with local service organizations to address the needs of families.
