With over 160 years of evidence, Boys & Girls Clubs work by combining trained staff, safe and welcoming spaces, and innovative, quality programs to drive positive outcomes in four areas. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore is to enable all young people, especially those who need the Clubs most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Kids that attend a Boys & Girls Club in Maryland say they have at least two Club adults they could turn to in a crisis, feel like their ideas count at the Club, and say there is a staff member who always wants them to do their best. The leadership team includes a Director of Communications, Nicole Anderson. The organization describes deep gratitude to the Baltimore Community Foundation and other corporate and community partners from across Maryland for supporting the social and emotional wellness of kids and helping address the opportunity gap for 252,000 children in Maryland who lack access to high-quality out-of-school time care. The organization notes that it does not accept used goods and that new items may be purchased through its Amazon wish lists.
