Merkel Farm Equestrian Center offers riding lessons and horseback riding lessons, as well as opportunities for boarding your horse. The program also includes competitions and a summer camp. The facility features miles of trails, indoor and outdoor rings with full sets of jumps, and a small cross country course connected to additional trails.
Merkel Farm Equestrian Center is a family owned and operated equestrian center run by Stephanie Serenati-Merkel. Its stated mission is that Merkel Farm is where fun and lasting friendships are made. The farm is nestled between Bowie State University and the Patuxent Wildlife Preserve and is within reach of the Washington D.C., Annapolis, and Baltimore metro areas. The venue includes three barns, separately fenced fields for turnout, lighted indoor and outdoor rings that are dragged throughout the year to maintain footing for horses, and miles of trails connecting to the WB&A trail.
