About
Knights of Columbus Day Camp offers outside sports, board games, arts and crafts, and time for running around. Campers spend time in the pool splashing and playing games, with free swim in the afternoon, and also take part in singing songs, learning new sports and games, and being creative.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Schedule: Summer 2024 camp dates are June 17–August 9, with the regular camp day from 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., before-care starting at 7:00 a.m., and after-care running until 6:00 p.m.; camp is closed July 4–5.
• Price: A $25 non-refundable deposit is required for each session; weekly camp fees are $275 for non-members and $225 for Knights of Columbus members, with sibling discounts of $500 per week for two non-member campers and $420 per week for two member campers; before-care ranges from $50–$75 per week and after-care ranges from $75–$100 per week depending on membership and sibling discounts, and camp T-shirts cost $10.
Knights of Columbus Day Camp has served College Park and its surrounding communities since 2001. The camp accepts campers aged 4–14, with younger campers under increased supervision and the oldest campers helping as Counselors in Training (CITs). All staff are CPR and First Aid certified, and the counselor staff is made up of high school and college students. The camp requires a camper medical form from the Maryland Department of Health, a neon yellow camp uniform T-shirt with the camp name worn every day, and a large, clearly labeled water bottle for each camper. The mission of Knights of Columbus Day Camp states that every child deserves summers with outside sports, board games, arts and crafts, pool time, and free time, and that staff are trained to provide a safe, healthy, carefree summer. Director Hilary Beall and Assistant Director Eddie Beall lead the camp, with Hilary Beall serving as KoC Camp Director and her husband, Mr. Eddie Beall, serving as General Brave First Aid Guy. Day-of registration is not permitted, and camp session fees, before-care, and after-care are non-refundable, with a limited 25% refund possible only in the event of a documented emergency dropped at least 96 hours before a session begins.
