Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) Juniors Programs & Summer Camps include activities such as Junior Ace Matchplay at various levels, Learn Tennis Now Social Tournament, Dingles Tournament, and 10U Championships. The program also includes integrated drills where athletes with and without disabilities are learning tennis together and participation in events such as the Special Olympics Maryland Unified Tennis High School State Championships.

• Schedule: Activities include events such as Junior Ace Matchplay – Levels 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 on select Fridays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, Junior Ace Matchplay – Levels 9 and 8 and Levels 7, 6, 5 on certain Fridays in the early evening, Learn Tennis Now Social Tournament on a Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm, Dingles Tournament on a Sunday from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, and 10U Championships on a Sunday from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
• Price: Learn Tennis Now is $59 with an option to bring a friend for free, and Summer Camp registration offers Early Bird pricing with 10% savings through January 31.

JTCC is a nonprofit organization with a mission statement that it is committed to transforming lives through tennis with the vision of “Tennis for Everybody.” JTCC is recognized by the USTA as the role model for an effective tennis organization, academy, and community partner. JTCC is the home of Frances Tiafoe, and JTCC alumni and players have won numerous National and ITF titles, including 9 Orange Bowl Champions, and JTCC alumni have earned college scholarships and financial aid expressed as “$M+.” JTCC Membership includes unlimited outdoor play, exclusive discounts, and access to 15 outdoor and 15 indoor courts.

The leadership team includes JTCC CEO Martin Blackman and JTCC President and Director of Coaching Vesa Ponkka, and Martin Blackman draws on 10 years of experience as General Manager of USTA Player Development while overseeing High Performance Training and High Performance Coach Development with Vesa Ponkka. One testimonial from JTCC junior wheelchair tennis player Spencer Davis states, “I have been able to further develop my game and improve different parts of it recently because of JTCC and their outstanding coaches.” High Performance player Nico Pedraza describes tournament play by saying, “My partner and I played really well together and had some good chemistry. We complement each other’s games really well,” and also notes, “We had some long days where we ended up playing doubles later in the afternoon, so to stay focused and have high energy late in the day really gave us the edge.”

JTCC’s community outreach programs serve youth and include hosting an All-Coaches Integration Training that brought coaches and players in the Adaptive programs together. JTCC hosted the Special Olympics Maryland Unified Tennis High School State Championships with more than 150 athletes and Unified teammates representing 16 Maryland high school teams, and Unified Tennis at JTCC features participants with and without intellectual disabilities and includes various levels of tennis experience.
